🧩 Plot Summary

Krishnamurthy alias “Kissaa” is a brutally honest YouTube film reviewer known for his sharp criticisms. One day, he receives a mysterious invite from a director named Hitchcock Iruthiya Raj to preview his latest horror-comedy film DD Next Level. Thinking it’s a promotional stunt, Kissaa brings his family and girlfriend Asai Harshini along.

However, once the screening begins, Kissaa and his group find themselves trapped inside the cursed film itself, set aboard a haunted cruise ship. Strangely, none of his family members recognize him.

A ghostly Hitchcock appears and reveals that they must survive until the end of the movie to escape. The plot twists when Kissaa realizes the movie is a revenge fantasy: Hitchcock was once a failed filmmaker, humiliated by critics. Now, he traps them inside his film to make them suffer.

To escape, Kissaa must battle supernatural forces, solve cryptic puzzles, and even confront his own girlfriend, who has been possessed by a vengeful spirit.

The film takes a meta approach, satirizing Tamil cinema tropes, film criticism culture, and horror clichés. Ultimately, Kissaa is forced to rewrite the movie’s ending himself to survive. But will he make it out—or become just another forgotten character in the cursed movie?
